Maggie Allain White - Dance teacher/Artist
1. Tell us a little bit about yourself
I was born and raised in Baton Rouge, football girl at heart ((Geaux Tigers & Who Dat!)). Graduated from LSU and am a former NFL Cheerleader for the New Orleans Saints. My husband and I have two sweet Maltipoo – Magnolia & Praline… ((Can you tell I’m a Louisiana Girl?!))
2. What is your first memorable dance moment?
I was always so excited to go to dance class each week to hang out with my friends and learn new movements. My dance family quickly became my second family.
3. What do you love about teaching?
Being able to be a positive influence in dancers’ lives and help them grow to confidently express their self in dancing.
4. What do you love about Hello Dancer?
I love that Hello Dancer is such a fun, inviting, and magical place for any level of dancer. From the moment you step into the studio, you will feel the excitement and warm welcome of teachers and other dancers in the room.
5. Who is your favorite cartoon or animated character?
My favorite character is Ariel because she has red hair, just like me!
6. What do you want your impact to be as a teacher at Hello Dancer?
I want to help create a magical place for dancers to come and dance their hearts out, have fun learning new dance concepts and come back excited the following week to continue to grow their dance knowledge and passion!
7. What are you qualifications?
I graduated from LSU with a BS in Sports Administration and Business minor. I’ve been in the dance industry for over 20 years training and teaching in the areas of Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Hip-Hop, Kick, Pom, and Tap from several studios in Louisiana and Texas. I was a former NFL Cheerleader for the New Orleans Saints, dance team director for the LSU Laboratory High School Dance Team, dancer in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in NYC and USASF Dance Legality Certified. Outside the studio, I judge dance competitions for the Varsity Spirit Brands all across the US.
