1.   Tell us a little bit about yourself.

I’m from Shreveport and moved to Lafayette to be a Dance Major at ULL.  I have two cats Mr. Jones (Young and Restless), and Old Deuteronomy (Scraggly and Old).  I love ice cream, cookie cake, and the colors blue and purple.

2.   What is your first memorable dance moment?

My first memorable dance moment was the first time I got to wear a blue leotard!  Every level below Grade 1, 2-6 year olds, wore pink and when I finally got to Grade 1, I got to wear my first “big girl leotard.”

3.   What do you love about teaching?

I love meeting all the new children and getting a better understanding of how they each learn and move a little bit differently.  They each have their own strengths, personality traits, and movement styles that make them individuals.

 4.     What do you love about Hello Dancer?

I love that Hello Dancer is designed around positivity, creating a positive environment for students and incentivizing with positive gratification and support , and that we are focused on students social emotional growth as well as technical growth.

5.    Who is your favorite cartoon or animated character?

My favorite cartoon character is probably Stich from Lilo and Stich.  I just love stitch. He’s so cute and sweet. And Lilo is this little girl that adopts him because she thinks he’s a dog and no one else knows why she got him but she loves him…hmmm…maybe Lilo is my favorite.

6.    What do you want your impact to be as a teacher at Hello Dancer?

As a teacher at Hello Dancer, I want to have a positive impact on the students so that they're excited to learn and excited to come to dance class.

7.    What are you qualifications?

I’m a Dance Major at ULL with over 4 years teaching experience, and this is my second year at Hello Dancer!  I have completed all examinations in the Royal Academy of Dance, and am a Certified Creative Dance Teacher.
